It was very accessible! When we arrived from Kitahama Station and tried to hail a cab, the driver said it’s better to walk cause it’s literally was just in front of us haha. You can check in without bringing too much baggage with you cause they had provided basic daily needs and even clothing rental for free. Highly recommend to book with breakfast inclusion; BREAKFAST IS DELIGHTFUL. Staffs are kind and approachable, some even use fluent English!

They had a large pool with gorgeous views, very spacious room and bathroom, excellent selection for breakfast buffet, though we didn’t get to use the public bath, that’s also available if you want. Location was perfect as well whether you were coming from the Beppu station or the Beppu Kitahama bus station via Oita airport. There are really good restaurants nearby as well. If you’re renting a car, they also have a deal with one of the parking lots and you only pay 600JPY for overnight/24hrs.

Excellent experience beyond any expectations. Great reception, great breakfast (must have!). Excellent pool (on the roof - great view) and onsen (14th floor with great view). Great location and very quiet place to sleep (no noise, good soundproofing). Great big TV in room, very good beds.

Very friendly and professional staff. Great value for a spa hotel, but definitely more expensive than a typical hotel. We have tattoos, and there was absolutely no problem using the spa area. The hot baths and sauna in the men's section were great. There's an all-you-can-drink self-serve 1000 yen bar area - yes, it really is 1000 yen and yes, you really can have anything you want from a selection of excellent shochus, sakes, but also wines beers and whiskey/gin/vodka.

Location was great. Close to the train station, and easy walking to restaurants. The breakfast buffet was great; so much to choose from. I had tried to book some things but was having difficulties. One of the staff members was extremely helpful with organising a tour for the hot springs, helping us book a return ferry for our next leg of our travels, and also helped with booking a car. He did so much extra for us.

Large room as compared to Japan hotel standards! Suitable for family with young children. Comfortable and cozy. I like the layout of the room. Feels like a small apartment where the entrance, and bathroom can be separated with the sliding door. Had the breakfast buffet. Good spread of Western and Japanese food. This hotel also has a rooftop pool and public bath (onsen). walking distance to plenty of food options and Beppu station.

The overall design is very stylish and consistent, and the lobby is truly impressive. The room was spacious with great lighting, a comfortable sofa, and a thoughtful vanity with a chair. Facilities were outstanding for the price—an onsen open until late at night, a 24-hour gym, and a rooftop pool with breathtaking views. The highlight was the jacuzzi facing Beppu Bay, which would have been perfect if it had been working. The location is also excellent, just a five-minute walk from Beppu Station, with a large Lawson nearby and a famous tempura restaurant right across the street.

The hotel felt luxurious when we arrived and the staff were all so friendly and kind. The room was lovely (much bigger than a typical hotel room in Japan) and the bed was wide and comfy. The spa (in the building next door) was absolutely lovely and I had the best massage there (and the masseuse also was really kind and nice)! The rooftop pool was really cool as well - we’ve never been somewhere like that before so it was an amazing experience! The location is also great, near the station.

The reason we chose the Amanek Beppu Yula-re for our stay in Beppu, was the rooftop swimming pool! And it didn’t disappoint! We loved ending the day with a visit to the pool and public bath! And the views over the city and bay from the 15th floor were spectacular! We had a suite room with Tatami Area and Hot Spring Bath, and I will admit I was a bit disappointed with the condition of the shower room.. however we didn’t really use it as we would visit the public bath on the 14th floor instead! The room itself was comfortable for our family of 2 adults & 2 teens.

Good location close to JR station and ctr of town that offered lots of restaurant choices. Hotel has lots of facilities gym, onsen , sauna swimming pool. Rooms are comfortable , shower facilities work well. buffet breakfast had plenty of choices western - Asian. Staff were always very friendly. Tip: if you don’t hire a car buy a 1/-2 day bus pass to see local area attractions .also the Beepu park is worth a visit.
